About ME
Born and raised in Ukraine, I moved to the United States to pursue my graduate degree at the University of Miami.
I am currently a Los Angeles-based professor of criminology and justice studies at CSUN, where my research examines causes of violence and crime in various countries, while also studying the mental health and trauma of vulnerable populations.
As a public criminologist, I enjoy sharing crime-related facts and stories through creative outlets such as writing, podcasts, acting, and more.
